Just went through the rigamarole of launching my [startup](https://www.producthunt.com/products/lumeforms?launch=lumeformson) on Product Hunt today. Its reputation has declined significantly in recent years (not going into it). If I were CEO, here's how I'd fix it: 1. Declare bankruptcy on upvotes: what used to be a solid mechanism to determine value is now mute due to Goodhart's law. 2. Create an AI scoring system: this will determine the rank of launched products. PH can use a clever multi-agent system to determine rankings, and can create different categories like first launch, by size (indie vs established player), and more. Employees can potentially help guide and curate the ranking as well. 3. Emphasize awards more: placing well weekly, monthly, or annually should be a great accomplishment. People in the tech world should be paying attention like the Oscars as a way to keep up with latest launches. 4. Make it an information channel: add a what's new in tech on first page to ke...
