Built three products. Zero paying customers each time. Every time I validated. Talked to people. Got positive reactions. Built the thing. Every time the same result. The problem wasn't the product. It wasn't the landing page. It wasn't the marketing. It was the question I was asking. "Is this a good idea?" gets you opinions. Opinions are free. Everyone has one and most of them are wrong. "Who is already paying for a broken version of this?" gets you buyers. Someone paying $200/month for a tool they hate is already a customer. They just don't know you exist yet. Their behavior told you everything you need to know before you wrote a single line of code. That shift changed everything about how I build. How do you guys find those people before you start building? What signals actually tell you someone will pay, not just agree?
